Sonoma County is seeking a Labor Relations Analyst to perform journey level professional labor relations analyst duties. Responsibilities include conducting and supporting negotiations of collective bargaining agreements; consulting with and providing advice to managers regarding disciplinary actions, grievance process, contract interpretation, County policies and procedures, and other labor relations matters; researching and analyzing technical and statistical data for use in grievance processing, mediation, arbitration, and other labor relations activities; understanding complex concepts such as actuarial analysis; and drafting reports and making recommendations.
Substantial course work in public administration, business administration, human resources, political science, psychology or closely related courses would provide such opportunity, plus professional human resources experience (one year for the II level, two years for the III level).
