$95,571 to $133,799 annually

Description:

Under general direction of the Deputy Director Auditor-Controller, the Manager – Financial Reporting plans, organizes and directs the fiscal activities and accounting services in support of the Financial Management Section of the Financial Reporting Division and is responsible for the preparation of the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and multiple other financial reports; selects, trains and supervises professional staff; coordinates assigned activities with departments and outside agencies; provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to higher level management and executive staff; provides fiscal oversight and analysis enterprise wide, including budgets, financial status reports (FSR) and Board Letters.

Qualifications:

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with at least 18 semester units of college-level accounting coursework, including 2 courses of upper-division intermediate accounting, managerial accounting and another upper division business course PLUS 5 years of progressively responsible professional accounting or auditing experience of which four (4) years must be at a supervisory or management level with responsibilities for fiscal operations or project management;

Experience preparing financial statements including variance analysis and performing research related to new legislation and changes in accounting principles/standards to determine impacts on operations, financial statements and reporting requirements.
Possession of a California driver license.
