Description:

The Manager of Real Property Transfers and Valuation is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Assessor-Recorder’s Real Property division. The manager is also responsible for developing and implementing goals, objectives, performance measures and production and quality targets for appraisers, analysts, and senior processing specialists, who appraise property, evaluate property transfers for accessibility or exemptions, and defend assessment appeals. The manager is expected to capitalize on opportunities to improve the performance of his or her divisions in both productivity and quality. The manager is responsible for projecting workloads and allocating staff resources. The manager also oversees the standards functions of the office and leads technology change efforts.

Qualifications:

Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or closely related field;
AND
Three years verifiable public entity work experience with business property valuation and audits, real property appraisals, assessments, transfers, and/or taxation;
OR
Five years verifiable work experience in accounting, auditing, data and system analysis, appraisals, or related field, two years of which includes supervisory or management responsibilities
