Annual Base Salary $64,126 – $77,938

Description:

San Joaquin County is seeking an experienced HR professional to perform the duties of a HR generalist. The current focus of this position is recruitment and exam development. Additional duties include conducting HR related training, advising management on employment matters such as employee performance, employee leave, and reasonable accommodation requests, and researching and interpreting county policies, MOU’s, employment laws, and county ordinances. Human Resources is a division of the County Administrator’s Office. Positions in Human Resources are unrepresented and are generally part of the confidential representation unit. The work schedule is 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday and may occasionally require overtime. Human Resources is a fast-paced, high volume work environment with tight deadlines to meet the needs of County departments. Individuals must be computer savvy. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are preferred. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities is a must.

**Members of this unit shall receive additional compensation of supplement pay of 10% of base salary. 

Qualifications:

Mimumum Qualifications

Either Pattern I

Experience: One year as a Personnel Analyst I in San Joaquin County service.

 or Pattern II

Education: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university, preferably with a major in public or business administration, social science, industrial psychology, or a closely related field.

Experience: One year of full-time professional public personnel or related administrative analytical work equivalent to a Personnel Analyst I in San Joaquin County service.

Substitution: Experience performing demonstrated complex para-professional public personnel, such as classification, recruitment, and/or test development OR administrative/analytical work related to personnel may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
