Salary:

$41.10 – $49.40 Hourly    $7,124.00 – $8,562.67 Monthly    $85,488.00 – $102,752.00 Annually  

Description:

A Planner III prepares, processes and presents environmental reports, conducts zoning research, prepares findings and planning agenda items; disseminates zoning/regulatory and permitting process information to the public, as assigned, performs business process analysis and oversees interdepartmental permitting coordination and ensures the efficiency of the Department’s permit tracking systems.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Three years of responsible professional experience in the planning field or related field. (A Master’s degree in planning or related field may be substituted for one year of experience.)

Education:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in urban, regional, land use or environmental planning or related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for two years of the required college education on a year-for-year basis.)

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. Active membership in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred.
