Description:

The Building & Safety Department has an opportunity for a Plans Examiner I/II in Riverside. The incumbent will review residential, commercial, and industrial building and grading plans to ensure compliance with California Building Codes & regulations, Riverside County Ordinances, and water quality standards. In evaluating building & grading plans, the Plans Examiner I/II will be tasked to accurately determine occupancy groups, area and height allowances, and will evaluate plumbing, mechanical, and electrical code compliance. The most competitive candidates will be seasoned engineers with broad structural engineering experience and exposure providing corrections & recommendations to the public, developers, and contractors.
