$80,683.20 – $98,092.80 Annually

Description:

The County of El Dorado’s Director of Human Resources seeks a human resources professional who will relentlessly seek improvement in the assigned areas of responsibility, and can create realistic and actionable plans to translate improvements into achievable goals. Strong experience in collective bargaining will be key, as the Principal Human Resources Analyst will be expected to play a leadership role in this area. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate:
•Extensive experience in public sector labor relations, including primary responsibility for labor negotiations and grievance arbitration in a public service environment
•Exceptional labor negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills; effective in managing conflict and oppositional views
•Comprehensive work experience in the human resources field with strong knowledge base in local, state, and federal labor laws
•Ability to provide high-level professional assistance to the Director of Human Resources and other County management staff by performing the most complex human resource work, with significant independent judgment and limited supervision

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, employee relations, industrial psychology or a related field AND two years of journey level experience in various areas of the human resource function in a centralized personnel or human resources setting at a level equivalent to the class of Senior Human Resources Analyst. Experience in a public agency setting is desirable.Must possess a valid driver’s license.
