Salary:

$77,7290.60 – $138,132.81 Annually

Description:

Procurement Services is responsible for issuing solicitations and contracts for OC Public Works, other County departments and co-ops consisting of Orange County cities and other government entities; managing accounts payable staff who process invoices, make utility payments, make petty cash reimbursements, invoicing other government entities for County provided services; administering the department’s inventory of fixed assets; and, providing surplus personal property services. The unit processes in excess of 3,000 requisitions for professional services, commodities and various other needs annually.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess five (5) years of significant public sector purchasing experience related to the duties and responsibilities described above. The ideal candidate will also possess extensive purchasing/procurement experience and knowledge in the following core competencies:

Strategic Planning | Analytical Skills

Oral | Written Communication Skills

DESIRABLE CERTIFICATES:
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or,
Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or,
Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO)
