Description:

Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) seeks Program Analyst – Transportation Planner/GIS Analyst. Incumbent performs professional-level and technical planning assignments, including support for special studies, active transportation and bicycle planning, transportation modeling, call box management, grant writing and managing VCTC’s real property assets. Responsible for collecting, maintaining, analyzing transportation and land use data in a GIS environment.

Position requires ability to prepare written reports, analyze and effectively present technical data to other departments, VCTC’s elected Board, outside agencies and general public. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, plus strong working knowledge of ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Qualifications:

Requires three years of progressively more responsible transportation-related experience in programming, planning, or analysis, AND a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business administration, public administration, social services, political science, public policy, environmental studies, transportation planning, or a related field.
