$6,574 – $8,026 monthly

Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Program Manager – Child Protective Services to plan, organize, and direct social services units or programs in a local public social services department or agency. Some positions may have additional responsibility for administrative services units.

Qualifications:

Desirable qualifications include experience supervising programs in a Child Welfare division of social services and a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology. Only candidates who meet these desirable qualifications will be considered for the oral examination.

Minimum qualifications include:

A. One (1) year of experience performing duties comparable to a Social Worker Supervisor I or II, Eligibility Supervisor, Employment & Training Worker Supervisor, Staff Services Manager I or II, or a comparably titled position in a public social service agency;

OR

B. A graduate degree in public administration or business administration or a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a master’s degree from a two year counseling program

AND

One (1) year of experience in employment, eligibility, or social service work in a public social service agency.
