Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Program Manager – OES to plan, organize, and coordinate the County’s Emergency Management Program and prepare the county to respond to disasters and local, State, and national emergencies; formulate, update, and maintain the County’s Emergency Services Plan; manage emergency operations in the County’s Emergency’s Operation Center; and work with County Executive Office, Risk Manager, Public Health, and law enforcement in the areas of mitigation of safety concerns.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental health, a physical science, business, social services, sociology, psychology, or field related to one of the previously mentioned, and three years of experience in the program field at the advanced journey level, preferably in a community-based organization involving program development; or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental health, a physical science, public health, health services administration, business or public administration, social sciences, psychology, counseling, social work or field related to one of the previously mentioned, or as required for any required licensure, certification, or registration, and two years of experience in the program area at the advanced journey level, preferably in a community-based organization involving program development.
