Description:

The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency is actively recruiting for a Psychologist I/II to join the Mental Health Branch. The Branch works with providers to ensure mental health services are available throughout the county. The Psychologist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team collaborating with probation, law enforcement, and court officials, and professionals from the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Programs. Candidates at the Psychologist I level are expected to obtain a Clinical Psychologist license within two years. This is an at-will position and reports to the supervising psychologist.

Qualifications:

Psychologist I:

Equivalent to a doctorate degree from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in clinical psychology.
Candidates not licensed to practice clinical psychology in the State of California must request a waiver from the State Department of Mental Health and obtain licensure within two years from the date of hire (Welfare and Institutions Code).

Psychologist II:

In addition to the necessary employment standards for Psychologist I:
Possession of a valid license to practice clinical psychology in the State of California as issued by the State Board of Medical Examiners.
