Salary:

$78,936 – $96,024

Description:

Under the direction of the Board of Supervisors, plan, organize, coordinate and control the activities, services and operations of the department in order to probate the estates of deceased County individuals having no living relatives or person to probate their estate; administer estates of Lanterman Petris Short (LPS) conservatees; and administer the Area Agency on Aging.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social or behavioral sciences, human services, gerontology AND four years of experience in social casework, behavioral health case work, probate, civil or criminal investigation, including a minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience.

Licenses and other Requirements:
Valid California Driver’s License. May be required to use own vehicle for field travel.

Become certified through the California State Association of Public Administrators, Public Guardians, and Public Conservators within four (4) years of appointment under the standards and certification requirements set forth by the PAPGPC and maintain certification while employed in the Public Administrator/Guardian/Conservator Office.

Meet the continuing education requirements of Probate Code §7605, 2923 and 1456.2.
