Description:

The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Public Defender to plan, organize and direct the activities of the Public Defender’s Office; provide expert professional assistance to the Board of Supervisors and County management staff in all public defense matters; and provide legal counsel and representation to individuals charged with criminal offenses.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited law school, six years of experience practicing criminal defense law with prior administration experience, and active membership in the California State Bar.
