Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Physician’s and Surgeon’s Certificate issued by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance of the State of California, or able to acquire California Status by appointment; AND
• Two years of experience in an administrative capacity at a local, State Public Health Agency, hospital, or like institution/organization; AND
• Working knowledge of public health sciences, specifically epidemiology, biostatistics and/or maternal, child and adolescent health; environmental and Public Health medical science and its application; AND
• Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License upon appointment.

Desirable:
• Master’s degree in Public Health: additional graduate level coursework in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Maternal and Child Health, or closely related field can be substituted for the required experience on a year-for year-basis.
