$89,712 – $103,860 annually

Description:

East Bay Municipal Utility District, the west largest independent water and wastewater utility, is seeking two communications professionals to join our team. These key team members will contribute to keeping audiences informed about EBMUD services, programs and projects and are responsible for producing clear, succinct written and multimedia materials to communicate information about the water and wastewater utility to customers, employees, news media and other audiences.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and oral communication skills; proven project management skills in producing publications, web content and/or social media campaigns and working with other communications professionals; research and analytical skills; and the ability to be an authoritative, clear and sensitive spokesperson in crisis situations and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree with a major in journalism, communications, English or a related field and two years of experience as a public relations staff member or as a writer, editor, or reporter in the print or broadcast media.
