$88,587.20 – $107,702.40 Annually

Description:

The County of San Luis Obispo Central Services Department is accepting applications for Real Property Manager. Reporting to the Director of Central Services Department, this position is responsible for short-term and long-term planning of real property needs for existing and future County facilities and the management of its vacant property inventory. This position advises and recommends solutions to space needs, real property acquisition and sales matters, donations, leases, concessions, easements, or exchanges. The person selected will oversee three staff members and will be responsible for budget preparation and database management for insurance tracking, lease monitoring, and real property inventory.

Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in real property appraisal, law and the procedures governing acquisitions of property for public use as prescribed by California Government Code. Experience in the assessment of real property, commercial leasing, building construction and/or building management is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from 4-year College or university with a degree in business administration, real estate, civil engineering, or a related field. Job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis. In addition, two years of increasingly responsible experience in real property management, appraisal and acquisition involving a variety of properties is required.
