Under the direction of the Real Estate Manager, the Real Property Specialist performs real property acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions. The individual in this role prepares and reviews agreements for real property transactions, ensures that facilities are maintained according to contract obligations, conducts financial feasibility and market studies, and prepares and reviews resolutions and staff reports for the Board of Supervisors. Assisting the Real Estate Manager in County-wide facility planning, space utilization, and financial analysis will also be a component of this role.

Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
• A strong real estate analysis, research, and report skill set
• Effective oral, written, and business communication skills
• Negotiation and contract development experience
• Experience in conducting commercial real estate transactions
• Familiarity with space planning principles, market analysis, site identification, managing due diligence reviews, contract interpretation, and negotiations and transaction documentation
• Right of Way experience
• Knowledge of real estate appraisal principles and practices
• Proven ability to make timely and relevant decisions
• Ability to multitask with limited direct supervision
