Description:

The CSAC Realignment Training and Conference Center Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the administration of educational training seminars, workshops, and conferences in the area of public safety for our members throughout the state. In addition, this person will serve as the primary staff liaison for coordinating meeting room logistics for various events held at the CSAC Conference Center. The ideal candidate will use organizational and planning skills to ensure Realignment training needs are met, as well as to ensure that all aspects of CSAC hosted events run smoothly.

Principal Duties

Serve as a the primary contact for CSAC Realignment Training efforts responsible for:

  • Working with CSAC staff, partners, and contractors to assess training needs and develop strategies to address those needs
  • Coordinating pre-meetings and presentations in preparation for official training sessions
  • Securing venue and contract negotiations
  • Managing meeting room arrangements
  • Overseeing registration
  • Managing event speakers
  • Preparing conference materials/agendas
  • Processing attendee payments
  • Monitoring and updating event budgets
  • Coordinating audio/visual equipment
  • Preparing briefings and progress reports as needed
  • Overseeing training-related travel arrangements and transportation
  • Representing CSAC at various local, regional and state functions in relation to training duties

Serve as the primary contact for CSAC Conference Center event logistics including:

  • Management of  facility reservations
  • Room preparation and closure
  • Catering logistics and oversight as necessary
  • Coordination of Audio/Visual equipment
  • Interaction with internal and external users of conference center

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Clear and concise writing ability
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with CSAC members, partners, and the public
  • Solid computer and data processing skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing workloads under pressure
  • Pleasant, friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to track and report expenses and prepare related reports

Minimum Qualifications — Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, political science, public administration or a related field preferred; or two years of public relations, marketing, advertising, or event planning experience in a public or non-profit organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as provided in the description.

Physical Qualifications — Associated with the conference center activities, there may be room setup and breakdown responsibilities which could constitute medium to heavy physical requirements.
