Description:

Los Angeles Superior Court seeks a Records Management & Archives Officer to join our Records Management Department.
Records Management and Archives Officer is responsible for overall managing and administering of a very large, comprehensive and complex records center, archives, exhibits and associated records management programs. The incumbent leads and directs development and implementation of uniform record and document management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulation and service effectiveness. The incumbent works with, managers and information systems staff to develop and implement electronic records management systems, including the creation of a central digital repository of court records and internal and external retrieval systems. Work requires a broad knowledge of records management principles, methods and best practices, legal requirements applicable to court records and a high degree of sound judgment and initiative.

Qualifications:

Graduation from a college or university with a major in business or public administration, information management or a closely related field -AND- seven years of progressively responsible professional records management experience, at least two of which were in a management capacity.
