Description:

The Registrar of Voters plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the operations and activities of the County of El Dorado Department of Elections. This position is responsible for campaign services, precinct operations and outreach, registration, and the voting system.
The Registrar of Voters is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and receives administrative oversight and direction from the Chief Administrative Officer. The incumbent is responsible for advising and assisting officials, departments, boards, and commissions in matters assigned to the department. Through a subordinate manager, the incumbent is responsible for developing and managing the goals, objectives, and polices of the department.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from a four‐year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, economics, political science, or a related field; and two (2) years of experience as an elections manager, assistant registrar of voters, or an equivalent position within an elections department in California. Additional relevant management work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
