Description:

The Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association (CCCERA), located in Concord, CA, has an exceptional opportunity for a Retirement Accounting Manager. Reporting to the Deputy Retirement Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Accounting Department, including the development and management of financial transactions, recordkeeping and accounting for investments in CCCERA, and providing work direction to subordinate accountants and accounting specialists. 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related field which must have included at least 12 semester or 18 quarter units of accounting courses OR possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Requires 5 years of professional accounting/auditing experience with at least 1 year at the supervisory level, and a background in planning, organizing and directing a large, complex fiscal section of an agency or organization.
