Description:

This position helps Sonoma County Employees’ Retirement Association (SCERA) members to understand and apply for retirement benefits. Duties may also include determining eligibility, estimating retirement benefits, calculating service purchase costs, and coordinating the benefit application process.

A primary focus for this assignment will be developing and administering outreach and education efforts for SCERA members and beneficiaries. This position will be responsible for the development and delivery of formal presentations and training programs geared to help SCERA members understand their benefits.

How to Apply:

Qualifications for this position normally include coursework in public administration, business administration, management, benefits administration, finance, accounting, economics, paralegal, and/or human resources; and one year experience equivalent to Retirement Benefits Specialist I would provide such opportunity.
