$77,000 – $100,000 Annual

Description:

Position with Tulare County (located in Visalia, CA) overseeing the Risk Management Division and functions involving worker’s comp, general liability, safety, medical malpractice, disability management and property casualty. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Risk Management or related field and three years experience in public agency risk management administration or five years risk management in private industry. Education:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, risk management, or a closely related field.

Experience:
Three years of progressively responsible experience in public agency risk management administration, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity, OR five years of risk management experience in private industry.

DESIRABLE EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
License or Certificate:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a certificate of competency as issued by the Manager, Self-Insurance Plans, California Department of Industrial Relations. Other industry related certifications such as an Associate in Risk Management, or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
