Description:

The Riverside County Transportation Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer. The position is located in Palm Desert and will serve in a supervisory capacity. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for the Land Use entitlement process, including the review and approval of land development plans and permits. This position will also be responsible for reviewing, issuing, and overseeing construction of encroachment permits. This individual must have customer service and public speaking skills as the position requires heavy interaction with developers, the public, and the occasional presentation of information at planning commission meetings. The most competitive candidates will have professional traffic/land use engineering experience, knowledge of general construction practices and hydrology/hydraulics (including the ability to review reports), and experience with land development review.
