Description:

The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one regular, full-time Senior Civil Engineer (Roads Engineer) position located within the Public Works Division at the Department of Community Services.

Definition
Under general direction, to have responsibility of a major engineering section in the Planning and Public Works Department dealing with construction, design and planning; to supervise the work of professional and sub-professional engineering personnel; and to perform professional field and office civil engineering and surveying work in connection with a variety of public work projects.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from college or a university with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; AND

Certificate/License: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers. (Non-California applicants must be registered as Civil Engineers in the State of residence, meet the five year experience requirement as a registered civil engineer, and must obtain registration from the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers within nine (9) months of hire.)

Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Civil Engineer.
