The Human Resources (HR) Department is seeking experienced labor/employee relations professionals with strong analytical ability and writing skill that can effectively represent the County’s position on complex employee relations matters.
The Senior HR Analyst will report to the Human Resources Services Manager of the Employee Relations Division and will be responsible for advising human resources professionals and County departments on employment and labor relations matters, and representing the County in administering provisions of County labor agreements. This includes ensuring consistent and fair application of disciplinary measures per labor agreements and County practices, maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws, investigating and responding to Equal Employment Opportunity matters, and defending the County in grievance/disciplinary hearings and arbitrations.
The Senior HR Analyst must be a sophisticated strategist and savvy tactician who can maneuver through the complex landscape of public sector Employee and Labor Relations. Competitive candidates will possess an acute awareness of the machinations involved in operating within a highly visible, challenging and sometimes contentious environment.

Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of employee/labor relations experience.
