Description:

Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States with nearly 600 courtrooms presided over by 550 bench officers and 4,500 full-time employees. The Court has 38 Court locations, serving 88 cities and 118 law enforcement agencies countywide.

Senior Human Resources Analysts perform difficult, complex professional work in one or more assigned functional areas of human resources. Incumbents provide professional advice and counsel to Court managers, supervisors, and employees. They perform their responsibilities with a significant degree of independence and application of professional experience and judgment. For a detailed job description, please click here. Positions designated in Labor, Equity and Performance Management Division are at-will confidential positions. The Trial Court Employment Protection and Governance Act (SB 2140) authorizes the Court to exclude confidential employees from the employment protection provisions of the Act subject to meet and confer.

Qualifications:

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options upon the final filing date of this bulletin:

Option I: Two years of full-time experience at the level of a Human Resources Analyst* working for Los Angeles Superior Court.

Option II: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university AND- Three years of full-time professional human resources experience, two years of which was at the level of a Los Angeles Superior Court, Human Resources Analyst.*

Substitution
A Juris Doctor degree may substitute for up to 2 years of required professional human resources experience.

*Experience at the level of Los Angeles Superior Court, Human Resources Analyst is defined as performing work in a comparable class with the same level of responsibility, and requiring the same knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
