$23.09-$27.84, hourly, plus benefits

Description:

Located in Northeastern California, Lassen County is the fourth largest county in the state. The incorporated city of Susanville is the County seat, set in the scenic upper Honey Lake Valley, against a backdrop of forested mountains of the Northern Sierra Nevada and Southern Cascade ranges. The selected person can expect to work in multiple facets of a County Planning Department, such as current planning, advance planning, environmental planning and policy development.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in rural/regional community planning or a related field. Experience: Four years of progressively responsible experience in a specific area of planning, such as urban and regional planning, or natural resources. An advanced degree in planning or a related field may be substituted for up to two years of professional experience on a year-to-year basis. License: Possession of a valid California drivers license.
