Description:

The vacancy is in the Public Works Department – Property Management Division. The Senior Property Agent will be performing or coordinating the appraisal and negotiation for the acquisition, rental and sale of land, improvements, right-of-way and easements for municipal purposes; conferring with City departments seeking leased facilities; locating, inspecting and reporting on the suitability and availability of land sites and improvements in the area of desired location; preparing lease terms and reviewing and securing execution of formal lease documents; determining proper rental rates and lease terms; preparing and maintaining leases and rental agreements; negotiating on behalf of the City for the rental or lease of City-owned properties; conferring and corresponding with Federal, State, County and local representatives, title companies and other agencies to resolve questions of legality, procedures and value related to the acquisition of property.

Qualifications:

Candidates require Four years of increasingly responsible experience in the appraisal and/or negotiation of real property for acquisition, rental and sale AND a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, real estate or a related field.
License/Certificate: Possession of an appropriate, valid driver license. Possession of a valid California Real Estate Salesperson License is desirable.
