Salary: 

$5583 – $6787/month, plus an excellent benefits package, including a CalPERS Retirement Benefit formula of 2.7% @ 55 for individuals identified as “classic members” pursuant to the provisions of California’s 2013 Pension Reform Act.

The incumbent will supervise, assign, coordinate, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing County Mental Health operations, functions, and activities. In addition, the incumbent will provide clinical supervision of prelicensed clinicians. 

Qualifications:

The position requires:

  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible clinical mental health experience, as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD in Psychology or a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
  • Current license as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or a Professional Clinical Counselor* issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences, or a current license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain by date of appointment, a valid California Class ‘C’ driver’s license

*Individuals who are qualifying with current licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor must show at the time of application, proof of completed, additional coursework as outlined in the Business and Professions Code Section 4999.20 (3)(A)(B) and (C), to perform assessments and treatment of couples or families.
