The County of Sonoma Seeks a Skilled Executive to Lead the County’s Tax Collection Division!

The Tax Collection Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office’s (ACTTC), Tax Collection Division.

As a Tax Collection Manager You Will:
• Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment in the prioritization and coordination of
department mandates, goals, and objectives
• Supervise a team of professional and technical staff
• Maintain secured and unsecured tax rolls and operations of the redemption activity
• Collect taxes for the County as well as other taxing agencies within the County
• Oversee the preparation and publication of delinquent tax lists and actions to deed delinquent tax property to
the State
• Interpret California Revenue and Taxation Code and California Government Code for the general public and
staff.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for this position normally include, academic coursework in accounting, finance or business administration with at least 12 semester units or 16 quarter units of accounting AND three years of increasingly responsible experience in private or governmental financial work in a large organization, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity and one year in tax collection and property management.
