Description:

The Transportation Department is looking for Traffic Engineering Division Manager. The Traffic Engineering (Division Manager) will play a critical role in the overall administration of the Traffic Engineering and Design Division, which includes organizing, managing the Highway Safety Program, Traffic Investigations, Traffic Signal Operations, Traffic Design and Plan Check,and Risk Management units.
The Division Manager will be tasked with working with various divisions to achieve desired results within the organization, representing the Department at local and State meetings, and ensuring compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), California Vehicle Code (CVC) and County standards for transportation projects.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or transportation planning.

Experience: Five years of professional engineering experience, four years of which must have been in an engineering supervisory capacity in traffic engineering.

License/Certificate: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
