The incumbent organizes and supervises the overall functions of the Special Districts division, within the Department of Public Works, including master planning of water and wastewater facilities within the districts; formulation of districts; development of district budgets and supervision of staff.

Qualifications:

The position requires four (4) years of increasingly responsible work experience in water treatment and distribution, and wastewater system maintenance, operation and construction work, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or management capacity and equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Additional qualifying and related work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Also required is the possession of, or ability to obtain by date of appointment, a valid California Driver’s License, and Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.
