$79,707 – $96,904 Annually

Description:

The Human Services Department seeks a veteran with management experience to lead Veterans Service Office operations. This position oversees a variety of administrative and supervisory responsibilities, and plans and coordinates outreach functions.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a veteran, be able to pass a Federal background check, and possess the following:
knowledge of U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs benefits and eligibility criteria; knowledge of veterans’ issues and concerns faced by the veteran community; leadership/communication skills to provide outreach to the community concerning veteran issues and resources; experience leading, motivating, and supervising staff; effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with federal, state, and local programs, other Human Services divisions, and County department staff, the community, the Sonoma County Veterans Council, and the statewide County Veteran Services Officer Association; experience conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing reports; and computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and database management.
