Wastewater Systems Superintendent
County of San Luis Obispo

Located in the heart of Californias Central Coast, the County of San Luis Obispo announces a unique career opportunity for a wastewater and water reclamation professional to join the American Public Works Association (APWA) accredited Public Works Department.

The Wastewater Systems Superintendent will join a team of 280 public works professionals who provide the full range of public works services across San Luis Obispo County.

Working within the 50 person Utilities Division, the Wastewater Systems Superintendent will lead the wastewater and recycling facilities operations team which oversees and maintains wastewater treatment plants and collection systems, including the new Los Osos Water Recycling Facility, located in the unincorporated community of Los Osos.

Qualifications:

In addition to the Los Osos Water Recycling Facility, other wastewater treatment plants and collection systems the Public Works Department operates include:

• County Operations Center wastewater collection system
• Country Club wastewater collection system
• Nipomo wastewater collection system
• Oak Shores Wastewater Treatment Plant and collection system

The Wastewater Systems Superintendent will work closely the Public Works Utilities Division Manager, Wastewater Systems Workers and project engineers.
