Salary:

$26.49 – $33.94 per hour, part-time (up to 20 hours/week); sick leave accrual: 1 hr/30 hrs worked. Total 48 hrs/yr.

Description:

Under general supervision, the individual will inspect, operate and maintain the water treatment system and related amenities to supply, treat, store, and distribute water for potable water distribution system; ensure safe and efficient delivery of clean water to customers; conduct regular testing of treated water using necessary equipment; and maintain a variety of records and logs in accordance with state requirements. There is one Extra-Help position (up to 20 hrs/wk) available in the Public Works Department. Main worksite location is Stonyford, CA.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or an equivalent certificate recognized by State of California.
-Two years experience in operation, monitoring, testing, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities/systems.
-Possession of a T3 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the California State Department of Public Health. Must maintain valid certification as a condition of employment.
-D2 distribution license preferred; required within the first year of service.
-A valid State of California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Successful applicant will be required to provide an official CA DMV INF-1125 Driver Record printout upon acceptance of job offer.
