CSAC Innovation Summit 2012
Inaugural Event Promises Strong Agenda
The agenda for CSAC’s inaugural Innovation Summit is coming together. Some of the most creative people working in and around local government will be participating in the event, set for noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the Long Beach Convention Center.
This event will take place the day before the start of CSAC’s 118th Annual Meeting in Long Beach, Los Angeles County.
Agenda topics include:
Modernizing Facilities & Improving Energy
Efficiency
Robert Bendorf, CAO for Yuba County, and Larry Spikes, CAO for
Kings County, will share how they were able to upgrade aging
infrastructure and gain control over energy costs without
impacting service delivery
Effective Data & Document Management
Captain Mark Long, Division Commander for the Orange County
Sheriff’s Department will present on how his department has been
able to better manage personnel data to track performance. Susan
Green, Deputy CIO for San Diego County will present on how their
juvenile justice agencies have been able to go paperless with
their digital library and workflow management solution
Balancing Public Access and Cybersecurity
Webster Guillory, Orange County Assessor, will present on how his
department is addressing the need for public access to county
records while maintaining the integrity and security of the data.
The summit is set for 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, November 26, at the Long Beach Convention Center. We will begin at noon with a lunch and keynote speaker who will set the tone for the day. At the end of the day, we will hold a reception for all participants to allow speakers and attendees to mingle and talk more about the presentations.
