Governor Appoints Tehama Supervisor
Longtime Social Services Staff Member Sandra Bruce to Fill Vacant Seat
Governor Brown has appointed Sandra Bruce to fill the vacant District 2 slot on the Tehama County Board of Supervisors.
Bruce has been an account clerk at the Tehama County Department of Social Services since 1984. She was project coordinator at the Tehama County Health Services Agency in 1999. Bruce also serves as a union steward for the International Union of Operating Engineers at the Tehama County Department of Social Services.
The appointment fills the vacancy created when longtime supervisor George Russell passed away. According to news reports, Bruce’s appointment will be for the first two years of that term. A special election will be held in June 2014 to fill the remaining two years.
