Shaking Napa: Local Government Responds
I know they are still in the early days of the response and clean up to the Napa Valley earthquake. There may still be bricks in the street, and some people are still in the hospital. Many cannot live in their homes or go to their work place. Schools are just now opening, and the people of Napa County have a lot of recovery work still to do.
While it is still early in this process, two things are becoming clear already. This could have been much worse, and, Napa’s level of preparation for this type of disaster is one of the reasons it wasn’t worse. The level of cooperation and communication among Napa County, the cities affected and the state has been very solid.
