Vince Minto New Glenn County Supervisor
Governor Makes Appointment to Replace Steve Soeth
Governor Jerry Brown announced that he has appointed Vince Minto, 61, of Willows, to represent the third district on the Glenn County Board of Supervisors. He was appointed to serve out the remainder of the term for Supervisor Steve Soeth who resigned earlier this year after accepting a position as the Director of Public Works for the City of Willows.
Supervisor Minto is no stranger to county government or Glenn County. Before being appointed to the Board he served Glenn County for almost 30 years beginning in 1979. He began as an appraiser in the Assessor’s office and he has also served as the Glenn County Director of Elections. In 1989 he was appointed to serve as the County Assessor/Clerk/Recorder, and he was subsequently elected to four more terms in that post. He retired in 2008, but has remained active operating a property appraisal business.
