SACRAMENTO –The California State Association of Counties® (CSAC), the statewide organization representing all 58 counties, has elected Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett to serve as Second Vice President for the next year. She was officially installed Thursday evening at CSAC’s Annual Meeting in Sacramento County.
“It is an honor for me to begin serving as an officer of this statewide association,” said Supervisor Bartlett. “CSAC plays a significant role in the policy decisions that impact counties in Sacramento and Washington D.C., and I am looking forward to representing my colleagues to ensure counties have the necessary tools to most effectively deliver services to our communities.”
“Supervisor Bartlett is going to be an incredible asset to our advocacy efforts and can provide a wealth of knowledge on many of the issues we’re grappling with statewide,” said CSAC Executive Director Matt Cate. “We will be calling on her often this year as we work with the Legislature and the Governor’s Administration on homelessness and housing, transportation infrastructure, public safety and environmental issues.”
Supervisor Leticia Perez from Kern County was elected as CSAC President for the year and Supervisor Virginia Bass from Humboldt County was elected as First Vice President. Supervisor Keith Carson from Alameda County moves to Immediate Past President.
The California State Association of Counties is the voice of California’s 58 counties at the state and federal level.
