BSCC Proposition 47Executive Steering Committee Meets

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) will hold its next Proposition 47 Executive Steering Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 30. The agenda topics include an overview of the Proposition 47 rating process and proposal scores along with the development of funding recommendations. A copy of the meeting agenda can be found here. Cal OES Releases Domestic Violence Housing First (KD) Program RFP

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Victim Services & Public Safety Branch, has released the Domestic Violence Housing First (KD) Program Request for Proposals (RFP). The purpose of the KD Program is to expand the number of projects that will provide stable housing and supportive services such as transportation subsidies, career training, job related expenses, and temporary rental assistance for domestic violence victims. Approximately $6,000,000 is available for the program through Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim Assistance Formula Grant Program funds. Each project will be awarded up to $525,000 beginning October 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2019. Proposals will be rated and ranked competitively. Office of Justice Juvenile & Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Is Now Accepting Second Chance Act Grant Applications

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking grant applications for the fiscal year (FY) 2017 Second Chance Act: Implementing County and Statewide Plans to Improve Outcomes for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System Program. The program will provide grants to support counties and states that have developed a recidivism-reduction plan to better align juvenile justice policy, practice, and resource allocation with research that works to reduce recidivism and improve outcomes for youth in the juvenile justice system.
