NACo Webinar: Opioid Epidemic Task Force Report Discussion
The National Association of Counties (NACo) is hosting a webinar December 15, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm PST that will provide an overview of the recommendations of the NACo-NLC Opioid Epidemic task force. Additionally the webinar will invite comments and questions from local officials from across the country who are working to address the opioid crisis in their communities.
The NACo-NLC Opiod Epidemic task force jointly launched by NACo and the National League of Cities was formed to assess solutions that address the opioid epidemic. The task force recently released a final report with recommendations for local, state and federal leaders. The report can be found online here and in printable form here. BSCC Holds Bidder’s Conference for Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Project
The Board of State and Community Corrections is holding a Bidders’ Conference for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Pilot Project on December 13th at 2590 Venture Oaks Way in Sacramento from 9:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and details about the project requirements, the grant application process and offer an opportunity for questions and answers. During the conference there will be a review of the LEAD Model, elements of the Request for Proposals, applicant requirements, and an opportunity for questions and answers. BSCC Schedules Upcoming Proposition 47 Bidders’ Conferences
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) has scheduled Bidders’ Conferences in Central, Southern and Northern California the week of December 12th. The purpose of these conferences is to provide clarity on the Request for Proposals instructions and respond to technical questions. Bidders’ Conference locations, dates and times can be found here.
