Broadband Subsidies and Regional Planning
The Foundation Continues to Support a Widening Range of County-focused Efforts

May 18, 2023

The Foundation has expanded beyond the CSAC Institute and the CSAC Grants Initiative to promote affordable broadband through a collaboration with the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF).

Our new CETF Partnership aims to help county leaders provide input on California’s plan for the federal Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and help county residents access federal subsidies by promoting enrollment in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

Learn about federal grants, CSAC’s grant-related member resources, and our new, 68-page Subject Specific Grant Guide on Homelessness (available by visiting our website and emailing your request to Brian Rutledge).

Join CSAC along with state and county leaders as they share tips on how to increase enrollment in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and thus how to make broadband more accessible.

Take this chance as a county leader to learn about the State Digital Equity Plan (SDEP) and the BEAD Five-Year Action Plan and to impact broadband access by sharing your thoughts and circulating new ideas.
