The National Governors Association, the National Association of
Counties and the National Conference of State Legislatures will
host a briefing on Thursday, June 24 from 10 – 11 a.m.
PT on the Child Care Stabilization Grants included in
the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The ARPA includes $23.9 billion for states, territories and
tribes through grants to address the needs of child
care providers struggling to survive or reopen under
pandemic conditions. States can use these funds to reimburse
programs for pandemic-related costs retroactively to the
declaration of the public health emergency on January 31,
2020. Allocations for states can be found on the U.S.
