Child Tax Credit Awareness Day

June 17, 2021

Child Tax Credit (CTC) Awareness Day will take place on Monday, June 21. On this day, President Biden’s Administration will work to reach the millions of families eligible for this new expanded CTC enacted with the passage of the American Rescue Plan Act.

Counties are keenly positioned to reach eligible families and the Administration has requested counties participate in this day of action. The National Association of Counties (NACo) has developed a CTC outreach toolkit that can be utilized by counties on this day and beyond. The toolkit provides IRS portal resources, a digital and printable flyer, and sample social media materials.

CTC Awareness Day is a call to action for federal, state, local governments, and stakeholders to help get the word out about the expanded CTC, which can help reduce child poverty.
