Collaborative Comprehensive Case Plans: Facilitating Behavioral Health Diversion Webinar

October 24, 2019

The Collaborative Comprehensive Case Plans: Facilitating Behavioral Health Diversion webinar hosted by the California Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health and the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH), with funding support from the California Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health, will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm.

People who have behavioral health needs are overrepresented in the criminal justice system and often face multiple challenges as they cycle through local systems. Agencies seeking to divert these individuals to community-based services and reduce their contact with the criminal justice system can support them by creating Collaborative Comprehensive Case Plans (CC Case Plans).

This webinar will provide an overview of the CC Case Plans web tool and discuss case planning best practices for people in behavioral health diversion programming, using examples from the corrections programs of Bridgeway Recovery Services, Inc. in Marion County, Oregon. There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the webinar.

Presenters:

  • Tina Bialas, Director of Behavioral Health Services, Bridgeway Recovery Services, Inc.
  • Alexis Lacy, Project Manager, The Council of State Governments Justice Center
  • Mark Stovell, Senior Policy Analyst, The Council of State Governments Justice Center

To register for this webinar, please send an email to DSHDiversion@dsh.ca.gov.  Please also forward this information to any staff in your county who would benefit from participating in this webinar. This webinar will be recorded and posted to the DSH Diversion webpage for future access.
