Council of Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health Hosting Community Engagement Events

The Council of Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health (CCJBH) is hosting community engagement events throughout the state and would like to encourage County participation. Please forward this invite to any networks of stakeholders and program participants who have lived experience, either personally or professionally, in the intersection of criminal justice and behavioral health.  The goal of the events is to gather input related to personal experiences, current needs, and best practices of programs and policies that work in this intersection.  Download a flyer that to print and hang in appropriate locations and forward with the email message.

The Legislature provided CCJBH with on-going funding to award stakeholder contracts for the purpose of reducing justice-involvement (incarceration, recidivism, etc.) for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.  Following the spirit of Mental Health Services Act funding, CCJBH will engage stakeholders and elicit input from diverse populations including consumers, family members, administrators, providers and other subject matter experts, especially those with lived experience, to provide their first-hand perspectives on how the funding could best serve its intended purposes.  The cumulative results of the stakeholder engagement process will be documented in a report which will provide the direction for current and future funding opportunities.

Locations and Dates:   Registration links have location details or information can be accessed from the CCJBH website.
