CSAC to Co-Host Affordable Connectivity Program Webinar
CSAC will be co-hosting a webinar with the California Emerging Technology Foundation (CETF) next Friday, April 29 at 9:00 am focused on how counties can help increase enrollment in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Created through the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, ACP provides a $30-per-month service subsidy for low-income households. This webinar will highlight a successful case study that counties can replicate and build on to increase participation among eligible households.
Interested participants can register online.
Also, the California Department of Technology, California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, California Emerging Technology Fund, and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) invite local governments, regional broadband consortia, and metropolitan planning organizations to a Broadband for All Roundtable on April 28, 2022 at 9:00am – 11:30am.
At this roundtable, you will hear information and updates on the implementation of the State’s Broadband for All Action Plan, the Middle-Mile Broadband Initiative, the CPUC’s Last-Mile and adoption programs, and other digital equity initiatives.
Please find registration for the event and answer a pre-event questionnaire to help inform the discussion.
